Autodesk, on August 20^th 2008, announced that they had acquired Mensch und Maschine Deutschland GmbH, a member of the Mensch und Maschine group, to acquire substantially all of the assets including the ECSCAD product line of Elektro-CAE-Software GmbH (ECS), a premier solution provider of electrical computer-aided design (CAD) software. ECSCAD is predominantly sold in Europe with a large presence in Germany and hence this enables Autodesk to acquire a substantial percentage of the German market. ECSCAD were the developers of the PromisE and what was the RS-Wire product range.
