Cymap Electrical - Essentials Training
Objective of Course This course teaches basic electrical production design using Cymap.
Agenda - Lighting database
Inputting photometric data from manufacturers; general database issues; mixing /importing manufacturers fittings; setting up emergency lighting data - Lighting
Single room lighting; create the building or use one already set up for mechanical design; accurate room definition based on building floor plans; set up room profiles, select standard fitting; lumen method calculation; automatic calculation of all rooms; display results as numeric, isolux diagram, intensity diagram; customising these displays; comparing manufacturers' luminaries; inter-reflection accurately dealt with; mixing different types of fitting: modular, downlighter, uplighters, wall washes; real-time display; global changes of fitting; editing groups of fittings; task areas to EN 12464; emergency lighting-special fittings & conversion kits; single tube or multi tube emergency lighting; exterior lighting and obstructions; printed results & interpretation of results; LG3 shading factors - Electric
Adding sockets, switches; locating boards; adding switching; accumulating loads; automatic references; adding cable tray, trunking; passing board info to wiring; plotting; export to DXF - CPD Databases
adding data to the CPD database; running a discrimination analysis; adding different manufacturers info together - Cable Databases
Looking at an assimilating information form tables; adding cable types - Wiring
Start a new project- entering general information; placing supply board and main boards; placing loads; adding cables; handling MCBs, Fuses, ACBs, MCCBs; adding and selecting busbars; basic calculation-cable sizes, volt drops, impedances; adding final boards and entering data; copying final boards and entering data; copying final circuits; whole system updated from transformer through to final circuits; problem ways highlighted-disconnection time and discrimination examples; discrimination analysis and problem solving; viewing schedules; sample reports; distribution of volt drop between main and final cables; showing volt drop and other details on the schematic; moving boards around; adding motors, including motor selection; adding capacitors; adding standby generators; adding electrical symbols. The above may be varied to suit client's preferences and requirements
Who Should Attend? New users of Cymap. Previous computer or CAD use is not required. Drawing board skills are useful.
Qualifications On completion of the course you will be presented with a CADline Certificate.
